Contributor's Statement
James Slate is the Associate Professor of Economics at Catawba College in North Carolina. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tennessee.

His areas of interest include Institutional (read sociological) Economics, and the relationship between Economic Theory & Psychology. The topics of which he has written, include risk-pooling strategies, game theory applications, and, of course, economic behavior in virtual world environs.
