DIKU is an old codebase, but still a good one. It forms the basis of the vast majority of the other MUD codebases, and is itself, widely used in establisjed and new worlds alike. |

Circle is a somewhat unique codebase in that it offers a clean slate. What it gives you, is just the basics to get going. No additional areas, no creatures, items, or anything. You create the world from scratch, circle just give you the engine. |
