This beautiful imagery has been replicated countless times in TV and film depictions of VR; attempts to describe the shift in sensations from the physical world, to an awakening in the virtual which at once makes it clear that this is a transition between realities, and at the same time does not cause physical nor psychological trauma in the person experiencing a sudden and complete shift in perceptions.
