As a builder, you are important because...
|
Builders, critical members of the world building team.
Without the work of builders to form and shape the world, we'd have
little more than glorified chatrooms with excess code. The areas
that make a world feel real, that make the experience so
immersive, and enjoyable, these are a builder's task to create.
Immersion is the grail of the builder, and the players reap the
benefits.
Building is about more than putting together a group
of rooms, or slapping some graphics about, or at least it should
be. Building is about creating immersive, believable areas that
make logical sense, and mesh with the flow of the world. It requires
research, and careful balancing. To build
a better world, we need realism. Not in the form of our reality,
but simply so that the world makes sense.
