Hofstadter-Turing Test

The Hofstadter-Turing test, is a variation of the Turing test originally proposed by Douglas Hofstadter in 1982. It's a bit more complex than most artificial intelligence tests.

An entity, be that entity human or non, only passes the Hofstadter-Turing test if it first creates a virtual, or synthetic reality, then creates a computer-based artificial intelligence that exists solely within that reality, that is itself able to pass a normal Turing test. If the sub entity succeeds, then the original entity has passed the Hofstadter-Turing test.
