Render Once

Render once is a texture handling method designed to reduce cache thrash. It is a rendering technique in which all instances that utilise the same texture in a given scene are rendered at the same time, so that when done, the texture can be safely overwritten in the videocard?s memory ? it will not be needed again until the next frame.
