Client

The Client portion of a world is the part that you install on your computer. Not all worlds require clients, but all graphical ones do.

Clients are always partnered with Servers to make the world experience complete. Data is transferred from the server to the client, where it is interpreted into the graphical environment in front of you.

Telnet -text based virtual worlds, or MUDs, MOOs and MUSHes as they are collectively known, require a TCP capable text client to interface with. Many different clients at a range of different prices with different addon features are available.
