Declarative Graphics System

A declarative graphics system is a software package or interface layer that supports the drawing of graphics as abstract forms. I.e. without the programmer specifically having to instruct the hardware how to draw lines and shade faces.

Typically such systems auto-handle clipping and occlusion as well as other secondary effects in 3D spaces without having to be told to do so.
