Finger Vein Authentication

Finger vein authentication is a biometric identification technology which employs near infrared light to observe finger vein patterns. It has strong advantages as a verification technique in immersive environments, because it does not interrupt the sensory experience, and can be combined with other interface hardware, yet remains secure and accurate.

They had created a three-finger robot arm, with tactile sensors on its fingers, with each finger capable of independent 180 x 180 x 360 motion.
