LARP

LARP, which stands for Live-Action Role Play, is currently the closest we can get to a historical, or fantastical adventure in an authentic world.

LARP typically involves getting dressed up in a costume, wielding kevlar weaponry, and descending on a forest or castle in great numbers, to play out a scenario.

Often a great deal of fun, LARP offers full sensory feedback on the adventure, something which virtual reality cannot yet do. On the flip side, LARP requires a great deal of leaps of imagination, and is only accessible to the physically fit, and able.
