Morphometrics
Morphometrics, as the name implies, is the study of how physical objects alter in shape and/or size over time. This is typically accomplished via scanning the object, and recreating it in a form of voxel based imaging, then comparing changes internally and externally over time.
Morphometrics is often used in neuroimaging applications, and in study of geological systems.
