A non manifold model is a model that lacks a manifold ? it literally has no surfaces. Instead, you get the wireframe, and nothing else. A model is considered to be non-manifold in some applications, such as CAD if it is missing manifold data for any one face. If it has a hole in it, it no longer shows as having any depth. If it has no depth, it cannot be made physical.
