OOC

Out Of Character. This is the term for anything that is not meant as part of your character's portrayal in world. Usually an OOC sentence is marked as such with (ooc) or the three letters O. O. C. The idea in a role-playing world is to use OOC as little as possible, but when it simply cannot be avoided, you can drop the use of your character, and speak as yourself through this tool. The opposite of OOC is IC.
