A myriad of silicon transistors are responsible to pass on the information on a microchip with today's technology. The transistors are arranged in a planar array, i.e. lying flat next to each other, and have shrunk down already to a size o...
With the high-resolution ?probe? developed at the University of Twente's MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology (The Netherlands), it is possible to observe chemical reactions in very close detail, for example. The results have been published ...
Dye-sensitized solar cells are flexible and cheap to make, but they tend to be inefficient at converting light into electricity. One way to boost the performance of any solar cell is to increase the surface area available to incoming light....
Toshiba Corporation today announced that it has developed a breakthrough technology for a nanowire transistor, a major candidate for a 3D structure transistor for system LSI in the 16nm generation and beyond.
