Point Light Source

In any virtual environment, light is vital for accurate rendering of both illumination and of shadows. Without both, you lose the visual 3D effect.

A point light source is a source of light that exists within the virtual environment itself, at a defined point, and emits light in all directions from that point. Typical usage is to create the illusion that a given object is casting light.
