Prim

A prim, or primitive, is a simple geometric shape such as a cube, cylinder, sphere, cone, pyramid, torus, etc.

Prims are the basis of VR world Second Life, which unlike most social VR worlds, does not allow uploading of precreated models, instead, SL prims have operations such as texturing, resizing, stretching, twisting, and many others, to allow them to be transformed into literally any shape desired.

Each piece of land in Second Life has a certain number of prims attributed to it, roughly 7 prims per 16m^2 of land.
