Reality Enforcement

A philosophical term, reality enforcement is based on the nature of consensus reality ? the definition of the ?real? reality as being the one on which a common consensus can be reached. Reality enforcement is the process of convincing individuals that believe otherwise, that their belief is wrong, and the consensus reality is the only one that matters.

A good example would be in the Matrix universe where the machines use reality enforcement to convince people that the Matrix is the only world, and it is real. In real life, it often works the other way with many individuals attempting to enforce the physical world as the only possible valid reality.
