Semi-intelligent agent

A semi-intelligent agent, is basically a soft AI controlled artificial entity, usually an advanced chatbot,
capable of understanding questions in ordinary language and of making appropriate replies based on an underlying database of responses.

They tend to interact with humans via a realistic humanoid avatar, as their entire purpose is to make humans interacting with the system, feel more at ease, and assertive.
