Specular Highlight

A specular highlight is a point on a surface with a high specularity where the light is reflecting directly from the source to the viewer. That is to say that the surface normal is angled equidistant between the lightsource and the view frustrum. The result is a bright point of light on the surface of the object, that can be used by the eye to work out the shape of said reflective object.
