Technophobia

Technophobia is a generalised fear of technology. It may be expressed in a fear of using advanced technology without being able to put a finger on why that fear is there. It may be expressed in a belief that the advancement of technology is a bad thing as it could only possibly lead to a dystopia, or it may be expressed as a fear that general technological advance will take the person';s job away – as in ludditism.

Like most phobias, Technophobia is at its heart an irrational fear, but over time it may become a concrete one, with individuals suffering from it, developing a deep distrust of all forms of technology or technological innovation.
