The Sensor Web
The Sensor Web is a theoretical concept of the future of augmented reality. It envisages a webbing of interconnected sensors, RFID tags, distribution nodes and receivers that are quite literally everywhere. Everything is connected to everything else, forming a direct link between the physical and virtual environments such that the two become inseparably interconnected, and virtual items appear next to physical ones in what will be taken for normal vision.
