Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Transcranial magnetic stimulation or TMS is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique. Rather than implant electrodes into the brain to write electrical signals back to it, pulses are administered by passing high currents through an electromagnetic coil placed adjacent to a patient's scalp.
