Visual Immersive Interface
A visual immersive interface is an interface of any type which completely eclipses the user?s own visual sensory stimulus. For example a HMD that blocks out external light, is a visual immersive interface, as it restricts the user?s visual sensory data to the virtual environment alone. That the image presented is not as high fidelity as the user?s natural sense of sight is not important, the full capability of their sight is being determined by the interface.
