This scene, the first look at Bobbie's house, is mostly for comedic value. It is the home of a writer, and is perhaps not too far from the truth. Sources of inspiration lay strewn everywhere. Still, this makes for a nice contrast with the obsessive cleanliness that comes later, after she is robotised.
