Manipulating on a Micro Scale

The concept is simple. In your hands you play with a physical replica of the object, in this case, a molecule, and you adjust its shape by moving it with your fingers. Sensors placed in key positions within the shape are tracked by the computer nearby, and it uses their positions to work out how you have changed the shape ? and replicates those changes in a vr copy, in real-time, superimposing that, over the physical object.

In the image here, the molecules are physical structures, held in the hand whilst the field polarities and strength arrows are virtual, superimposed over the physical, and changing in front of the user?s eyes.
