Is Role-Play a niche market? Or is it simply that we give players no role to play?

As a player, you are important because...

As a player, you represent one of the most important parts to a virtual world. Offering truly immersive entertaniment on a level board is what they exist for. Most world staff will bend over backwards to give you an experience you'll love, devoting huge amouts of time to bring the world to life.

Considering the tremendous effort put in by all, isn't it only fair that you should strive to be the best player that you can be? Good players, who help other players, and try hard to maintain the immersive, realistic, and believable properties of these other worlds, are usually the players who are enjoying themselves the most.

Further Information about our Player resources

For players, our resources include:

  1. An impressive, and growing selection of high-quality role-play resources, ranging from the barest introduction through to advanced concepts and betterment; from general pointers, to codebase-specific advice. Whether you feel you are a pro, an amateur, or a casual role-player, we have something for you here.

  2. Player -versus- Player behaviour, is often one of the worst things that can happen in a virtual world. From simple harassment, to character-killing, to malicious rumour-milling, and even virtual rape, we cover, and report on all aspects of PvP, their causes, and their effects.

  3. Just what are the character-professions really? What can you expect from a given profession in world Z? We look at the more common classes / careers in a virtual world, and even some of the uncommon ones.

  4. Where did virtual worlds spring from? Are they just recreational tools, or something far more? Could they even be used to boost our education, improve our learning, or even overcome our cultural barriers? All this, and more, can be found in our educational area.

  5. Some people think of virtual worlds as just mere games, nothing more. With our community resources, we prove that they are indeed far, far more than games, with a reality all of their own, and true meaning to their interaction.

This is by no means the end of our Player section: Our resources are continually expanding, and integrating, to provide you with a more thorough, more useful resource, for all your playing needs and desires.
