Marian's world is a little bit of an oddity really. It is a world in which everyone is female, and tither stands about talking, walks and talks, or drives cars and talks. There's nowhere to actually drive cars to, as the entire world is a hilly, swampy island of about one half a square mile, with only three treehouse structures on it, yet everyone has a convertable sports car, and only one set of clothes.
When you logh in, you are presented with a standard body-type, much like the one on the world intro-screne, which you can customise by changing the colour of the various elements, or choosing between a tank top, sweater, or turtle neck jumper. The choice of colours is a little limited - eight for each item - but that still allows 98,304 different outfit combinations, so there is planty of versitility.

Mirian's world appears to be java based, and thusly, whilst it has the flat feeling of a VRML world, it is, instead, bespoke technology. The likely reason for it being this way, is the car control. A lot of thought and time has gone into the car handling, to the point where the car wheels tilt on the axis as the cars corner, and realistic braking distances and physics are implemented - turn too fast and you skid, fail to correct that skid and you flip and roll. Take a hill too fast, and you fly over it. This can be mildly amusing, as you can get out of the car at any time; abandoning your car as it is careering out of control, flipping end over end means it will sail on without you. With a little aim, it can easily annoy a group of standing chatters as the flailing car knocks them flying like skittles, before being stopped itself by a tree.
The car physics is not perfect, however. The unrealistic high speeds the cars can reach does lead to some unusual effects, such as merrilly driving up a tree trunk if the angle is just right.

Careening up a tree in Mirian's world
Here at Virtual Worldlets, we look at all worlds, whether
for entertainment, training, medicare, industry or military use. Thus, we
have the situation where different uses judge by different criteria. Below
are a series of sub-reviews, each tailored to a different aspect of the world.
Only those to which the world being reviewed has relevance
to are displayed for each review.
For some, its the thrill of discovery, the freedom to strike out, to pioneer. Whether its mapping new lands, or exploring unknown fields of endeavour, to be first, to boldly go, this is what explorers live for.
One horseshoe shaped island, about a half a mile square in total area, although this is hard to judge. Three wood and rope raised freestanding treehouse type buildings linked together, a swamp in the middle, some cliffs, and a small forest total the entire world. It is surrounded by water, and, if you drive too far into the ocean water, you are unceremoneously dumped back where you started, car and all.
The social life is the life for you. To chat, to roam, to gossip all day, and chatter all night. You are the heart of the party, and you are the soul. The drive to chatter, the need to gossip, stretching out, making connections, mind against mind, heart against heart. It keeps you going, it keeps you sane.
Marian's world has no 'who' listing, no contact list, no capability to whisper or private message of any sort. All communication is in the open in the world.
There is the option to switch between global mode and local mode for chat, however.
