Neurophysiology

Neurophysiology is the study of the function of the nervous system, both primary and peripheral. With reference to VR, BMI, and AI, neurophysiology is strongly tied with neurocomputation. That is to say, the more we understand about the structure of the brain, and neuron signaling, the more complete a simulation we can construct.

The more complete a simulation is constructed, the more we are able to unravel about the neurophysiology of the brain. In this way, the two fields are interlinked in a vicious circle, one which is a major force in part responsible for the exponential curve in increasing understanding of the brain.
