View Space

View space is sometimes called Camera Space. It is the space between one viewpoint and the view frustrum into the world. If multiple viewpoints are used, as in stereoscopy, then there is a separate view space for each, even if they intersect.

The world space co-ordinate system is transformed via matrix mathematics into a new system that becomes that unique view space, laying on top of the world space. In it, the viewpoint is the origin of all co-ordinates, and looks straight down the scene into the distance, along a single axis, that is a combination of between one and three axiss from the world system, but is treated as just one.

An eminently accessible book, this slimline, 200 page tome uses casual friendly language to describe the view rather contrary to mainstream imagery, that videogames are producing a generation of businesspeople unlike any who have come before. The mindset of the gamer is producing successful business people with a paradigm shift in view to the older generations.

This tome, written long before the Metaverse Roadmap, was one of the first large works to discuss how virtual spaces create entirely new kinds of space, and require mapping constructs and methodologies utterly alien to what had come before.
