Approximeeting

Approximeeting is an augmented reality term that has sprung up through the use of mobile phones and later through GIS systems, referring to the arrangement of a meeting at an approximate place by a group of individuals communicating solely through their phones and augmented reality devices.

This tuype of meeting is only really possible through such technologies, although the meaning is bolstered with GIS technologies that enable individuals to tell where their friends are physically in real-time, and so find an approximeeting location once the meeting has started.
