BSP Binary space partitioning, or BSP, is a method of organising 3D areas so as to minimise the amount of data sent to a renderer. It only works for environments in which it is not possible to see one part of the environment from another. It is thus used a fair amount, in games where the world is a series of discrete rooms. Use in other VR environments is possible, but only as a subset render for a specific volume, it breaks down otherwise.
