Body Area Network A body area network or BAN is a very young concept in computing. The first BANs being proposed in mid 2009. In concept it is quite simple and elegant. In execution perhaps less so. A BAN is literally what it sounds like; a computer network surrounding a user?s body and extending no more than perhaps a few centimetres from them.
