The Central Nervous System or CNS is the brain itself, as opposed to the Peripheral Nervous System or PNS. It refers to everything from the brainstem up. Adjusting, or interfacing with the CNS is the most difficult route available in sensory interfacing, but also the most potentially rewarding in terms of complete immersion in a VR.
