Deep TMS Deep transcranial magnetic stimulation or deep TMS is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique in which deep brain tissues, below the surface of the brain, are subjected to electrical pulses designed to write information back into the brain. The difficulty with doing this a few centimetres below the surface, is avoiding saturating and destroying neurons above the target area with electrical pulses.
