Knowbot
A knowbot is a kind of search agent, an artificial intelligence capable of fuzzy searching, and possibly natural language interfacing, that can go off on its own and gather information of the type specified by its user from any online accessible source.
Knowbot is an acronym, and stands for Knowledge-Based Object Technology. The term was coined in 1992 by Ronald Carr, to describe the basic automated fetch routines he was developing.
