Magnetic MoCap Magnetic motion capture does not use cameras. Instead, a network of receiver units is placed across all of the body parts of the user. These receiver units (and the user) are then surrounded by three electromagnetic coils, spaced equally around them. Each of the coils initiates an electromagnetic field, and the receiver units detect the relative intensity of the voltage from each.
