NIDs
A network intrusion detection system or NIDs, is a mot like the ?ice? from cyberpunk books. It is essentially a specialised AI that pattern checks across the computer systems of a network, looking for signs of intrusion.
NIDs work in two ways: They either compare to a database of known hacks, or they train themselves on how a network is normally used and spot deviations in pattern.
