Neural Interface A neural interface is any combination of hardware and software whose purpose is a direct or indirect connection to the neurons of the central nervous system (brain) of an organism, and then to pass that information to an external device for purposes of reading thought input from the brain, or control output back into the brain to influence or control the firing pattern of neuron groups.
