Pre-Integrated Volume Rendering The concept of pre-integrated rendering, is very similar to a halfway house between passive and interactive VR. It is a type of rendering in which several rotation sequences, deemed to be the most likely used, are actually pre-rendered and stored in main memory either prior to, or during initial display. In this manner, delays caused by rendering large datasets on the fly, can be largely avoided ? provided the user sticks to expected patterns.
