Re-topology Re-topology, or sometimes just retopology, is the process of adjusting the topology of an existing 3D model. Topology refers to mesh-based 3D models, and is the way the individual polygons are meshed together into a 3d grid, with each polygon sharing a dividing line with each of it?s neighbours, until the mesh encloses a hollow 3D shape.
