A subset of biuomechatronics, which is the integration or attempt to integrate mechanics, electronics and flesh into a single system, the phrase ?sensorized biomechatronics? refers to any attempt to create a technological sensor network which can be integrated into a larger organism. This includes any attempt to recreate natural bodily senses that have somehow been lost. For example, recreating the sensation of touch in a replacement prosthetic limb, such as it approaches, equals, or exceeds the sensitivity and capability of the original limb.
