Sockpuppet
In virtual communities, a sockpuppet is the name for a secondary account which the owner is pretending is a different person, used as psychological backup in a dispute, or to grief another individual. It differs from an alt in that an alt is a second account by the same person, which is freely admitted as being the same person.
