Tomogram
A tomogram, is a type of 2D datafile; a picture if you will, that was created by scanning through a 3D body to slice out an image of its insides. Tomograms are hardly ever found singularly. They are created in large numbers during the process of tomography ? breaking a 3D object up into layers or sections, and scanning these in rapid succession to build up a 3D recreation of the whole.
