Translucency Map
A translucency map is a type of texturemap for use overlaying on the other texturemaps of an object, if the translucency of one or more facets is likely to be set above 0%. In other words it?s a map showing the areas to be more or less translucent, possibly displaying a complex pattern in a facet that is otherwise set to a single translucency level.
