A split Life

ActiveWorlds is perhaps unique technologically in that it is two systems in one. The main 3D area occupies the majority of this screen - seen from rear camera here (there are also front camera, above view, and through-your-avatar's-eyes). Below it, is the main text area, where chat and urls can be typed. Clicking on a URL in chat, or in the graphics area, opens the integrated web browser, which allows all participants in a conversation to see the same page, and the same way. All three areas are fully resizable so the participant always sees whatever view they would like.
