 Virtual reality technologies workshop, Stuttgart

A workshop on virtual reality hardware and software will take place from 30 November to 1 December in Stuttgart, Germany.

The workshop will present new trends in virtual reality hardware and software, organised around the following themes:

- best practice in different industrial applications;
- training and education using virtual reality;
- new industrial applications for virtual environments;
- new applications for virtual reality;
- haptic [tactile] interaction with virtual environments;
- collaborative virtual environments;
- towards realistic virtual environments;
- virtual reality in medicine;
- augmented reality in industrial applications.

During the workshop, participants will also have the opportunity to discuss possible research initiatives under the forthcoming Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

The event is organised by partners of INTUITION - a Network of Excellence funded under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), which brings together leading experts and key actors across the virtual reality industry, for the understanding, development, testing and application of virtual reality in Europe.
