Wibree is now Bluetooth's ultra-low power wireless standard

Nokia has successfully campaigned for and won standards inclusion for it?s Bluetooth-like solution for short-range wireless cable replacement in low-powered devices. The new Wibree standard offers one-tenth the power consumption of Bluetooth, at the expense of drastically reduced range.
It will now become integrated as part of the Bluetooth specification for ultra low powered wireless devices.
