This book is over a decade old now. As such, its exploration of ?current? augmented reality applications, and means to attempt to integrate virtual and physical data, is often hopelessly dated.

Thankfully, that?s not all there is to this book: Its not a single cohesive work. Instead, it is a collection of research papers and essays, showcasing the state of the art at the time, and providing a historical synopsis of the work covered at the First International Workshop on Augmented Reality.
