Medical and prosthetic inventor Willem Kolff has died, at the age of 97. He officially retired 22 years ago, and unofficially retired 11 years ago, yet kept working on prosthetics until death caught up with him, on February 11, 2009.

Electronic Arts kills Ultima X: Odyssey (Obituaries)

Electronic Arts has killed another MMORPG, as they gather resources, and focus on expanding Ultima Online. The gameworld had been on track for a 2005 release, but there had been rumours fof development trouble for quite some time.

Earth & Beyond - rest in peace (Obituaries)

Electronic Arts have announced that their MMORPG, Earth & Beyond will close its doors at the end of this year, citing that they need to focus their resources on future games. At the time of the closure, Earth & Beyond will have been open little over 12 months.
