Date posted: 01/08/2005 Di-O-Matic Incorporated have announced the release of 3D facial animation package Facial Studio 1.5, which they claim is now the most complete package for head creation. Notably ?most complete? does not entail ?most advanced?, but the package does seem determined to make it quicker and easier to model complex faces, bringing production costs down. Handily, the program exports in FBX format, which most modelling programs can import. Facial Studio boasts 500 facial controls, arranged intuitively, to try and streamline mass production of realistic heads. It also offers PhotoMatching, whereby you can create heads from photos as fast as computationally possible.
